A couple of months ago, a website called "ASOS" wrote to the producers of the t-shirts you see to your right (I feel like a tourist guide), expressing interest in selling said t-shirts on their website, along with t-shirts designed by other collaborators in the Borders and Frontiers "blogger" collaboration (of course, I don't consider myself a blogger per se, just a dressmaker). Anyway, I was feeling generous at the time and decided to spread fashion to the masses, etc etc- a la H&M. One may purchase them here. I recommend buying all 8, because there's sometimes 8 days a week. (As that chic covers band, The Beatles knows. They also do children's parties.)

New Shirts
These "blogger" t-shirts have really taken off, haven't they? Just they other day I was walking through Collette, the favourite t-shirt shop of Paris, and I spotted a man wearing a shirt designed by Tavi. I asked him why he wasn't wearing one by me, and he said he wore it under his Tavi shirt in case he ever saw me, so he could rip off whatever he was wearing and strip down to the Karl shirt and his Comme des Garcons underwear (yes, Rei really does do underwear). I said to him: "well, your plan kind of failed, hm?" to which he sheepishly agreed. I told him to strip anyway. He wasn't bad by any means. And he really was wearing a "DEMODE" shirt.
Anyway, we've created a couple of of these shirts that the young people love wearing so much. Why don't you people wear real shirts, like I do! I pose that question to all the young people I find, and they say "you know Karl, this isn't very modern." So here are two more t-shirts for the consumption of You People, viewable below. They are timeless. You can purchase them by clicking on the button on the button that says "Buy Now" at the side. And no, we do not do XXL. We will never do XXL.

Shirts and Barbie, quelle horror
Mr. Vidal Wu had a most excellent idea yesterday: all you readers who have purchased DEMODE shirts should send pictures of you wearing them, and I will post them on the blog. Of course, I had this idea about 24 hours before Vidal Wu was even born.
There will be a few rules about sending me pictures of you wearing the demode shirts. You may not be fat, you may not be ugly, you may not be stupid- the usual. I don't need to go over it all again, do I? Non, I don't.
I've been wondering why I did that Barbie thing. I designed clothes for Barbie dolls. I am terrified of dolls, as you'll note from interviews and posts that I've done in the past. So this thought has been going through my head: "Why did you design clothes for something you are terrified of?" I said.
"Because it is keeping your enemies closer, hmm?" I said.
"Yes- but why did I not put them in straightjackets? They wouldn't be able to move and try and invade my houses then, hm?" I said.
"Oh Karl, who would buy Barbie dolls with straightjackets, hm? Can you imagine the little girls and dapper little boys playing with Straight-Jacket Babrie?" I said.
"Karl- I realize this. People like Yves would buy Straight-Jacket Barbie." I said.
"Straight-Jacket Barbie: Barbie goes into a mental institution after a breakdown! Go to therapy! Have pills! Electric Shock treatment! Melt her plastic!" I said.
"I think Rehab Barbie would probably be more relevant, hmm?" I said.
"Uh oh! Barbie's got an addiction! Take her to an exclusive rehab clinic! Get a new addiction! Find love with a fellow inmate! Escape from the clinic and go back a second time! Go on a b-list TV show to revive your flagging career!" I said.
"Mm, that's a good idea. I mean- there's a market for that kind of thing." I said.
"Voodoo Barbie." I said.
"Rei would buy that." I said.
