This Plus-Sized Business

Goodness me, I woke up this morning to a deluge of mail regarding comments of mine that were published all over the world, even in Cat Lovers Daily, Cat Lovers Weekly, Cat Lovers Digest, Feline Fanciers Fortnightly and so on. I was talking about overweight women, not normal women. In other words, I was talking about the fatties. We know about those types, hm? And I was talking about the fatties in context of the runway, and you know, one time we had a "dry run" of a Chanel show with fatties and the runway collapsed! It's a health and safety risk, frankly.
Of course, you gannets- meaning the press- take my words out of context and think I'm talking about everybody! I am talking about models. I am not saying the fat mummy from Ohio who eats potato chips all night and watches "Project Runway", saying to her husband "These girls are just too damn skinny" (of course, Project Runway girls aren't proper models anyway.)

That's all. You may all proceed to continue eating your potato chips in front of your television-computer screen, or feeling superior to the rest of the readers of this blog because you aren't eating potato chips.

I think Karl is right on with the fact that THERE ARE MORE OBESE PEOPLE THAN ANOREXIC!!!!! Obvs., I know, but so many overlook it...

Yes there has been far too much focus on eating disorders and the fashion industry in recent times, even though eating disorders have NOTHING to do with the fashion industry, BUT obesity is a weight problem, anorexia nervosa is a mental illness. The two cannot be compared. Plus, I'm sure that many obese people have an eating disorder called Binge-Eating Disorder which is the most common yet it's never in the media.

Mwahahaha

I ABSOLUTELY agree with you, Karl.

Any sensible person could understand your
sentiments, a "fattie" can't go on the catwalk, anyone wants to see a fat girl. Fashion shows are made for dreaming.
But they're too stuffed with fries and cakes to listen and to try to understand something.rubbish.

Karl has it spot on. I'm not opposed to plus-sized models, but I am very opposed to unhealthy, overweight people telling me to "go eat something." They are just hating on the fact that I bust my ass working out to have this body while enjoying my "fatty foods" in small quantities (I'm a Texan that can't give up her Lonestar).

It's just too funny that those fatties complaining about the "skinny models" on Project Runway mostly deal with their own eating disorder (Binge-Eating Disorder). Maybe they should get help for THEIR issues... but no, they convince themselves that they are "healthy" as they emotionally eat food that is unhealthy.

Dear Fatties of the world -- Food is fuel, and if you take pleasure in your food, don't waste that pleasure on nasty, cheap potato chips.

michelle,

im loving your blanket statement about the gluttony of heavier people. because you know, all "fatties" are that way because they eat a lot. i think i would rather be obese than be an ignorant twat like yourself.

p.s why are you hating on people eating unhealthy foods when you yourself are a ~texan who cant give up her lonestar~? small portions it may be, but a tiny slice of pie is still a slice of pie, loser.

p.s.s people like you break their ankle running on the treadmill to *have this body* and gain 30 pounds from being bed-ridden. karma sucks a fat one!

Overweight North Americans just need to get out of their McMansions and SUVs. Such a toxic, sedentary environment.
